"Childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity, and investigation. We feel that all preschool experiences should be successes. Successes raise self-esteem, and a positive self-image is the one most important assets we can help your child achieve."
Mildred W. Frazer, Founder Tweet
A Child’s Place at Hollin Hall has been serving the needs of children in the local community for over 40 years. We are committed to the care and education of children and strive to make our school a welcoming and fun place for them.
For school-aged children, we offer before and after school care (SACC) for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, and a full day summer camp program which begins as soon as the school year ends. Students in our SACC program can choose between quiet activities such as drawing or reading, or they may choose to socialize with their friends, either outside on the playground and blacktop or indoors in our SACC rooms with games, puzzles, Legos, etc.
We look forward to welcoming new families into our A Child’s Place community for many years to come!
Our classes are divided into 4 rooms:
Each classroom follows a daily schedule and does age-appropriate lessons and activities. They work on learning and refining social skills with each other and with the teachers and staff.
The Parent Handbook contains information about the school as well as the policies and procedures for enrollment, inclement weather and medication.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of events for parents and families to attend.
We offer before and after school care for children in Kindergarten through the 6th grade. We serve 4 local Elementary schools:
Waynewood, Stratford Landing, Fort Hunt and Hollin Meadows Elementary.
We provide transportation to and from school on our own school buses for Stratford Landing, Hollin Meadows and Fort Hunt Elementary Schools. Our school is located within the boundaries of Waynewood Elementary and they provide county transportation to and from our center.
We provide the opportunity for the children to have a snack once they arrive and then play outside (weather permitting) ad inside with their friends.
Fill out the SACC Registration form and return it to the office to enroll your child in our SACC program
